We hope that our Titans community is enjoying the summer in a safe and careful manner. The Titans organization wanted to provide an update on our upcoming season. We continue to monitor and will adhere to the state and local guidelines, which will likely continue to evolve. Our players’ safety is our top priority. As of now, basketball has been regulated to a Level II sport by the state guidelines, which allows our organization to facilitate training, practices and intra-team scrimmages for our players. At this time, we are not allowed to play in competitive games or tournaments. We are planning to start our season as “business as usual” with the hope that we can move to competitive play later in 2020 or early 2021. We envision our selected teams will train and practice until we have the green light to play games. As a result, we are planning to open tryout registration on August 15 th and host tryouts in mid to late September. Our web site will have all the tryout details as they become available and will require parental consent per the state guidelines. As of now, we expect to have tryouts for 4 th -8 th grade boys and girls.
In addition to the state guidelines, our ability to run our season for all our teams will require us to have adequate gym space. We are closely monitoring any changes to our facility schedules for the fall and winter. Our allocation of gym space will likely be different than in year’s past and determine the grade levels and number of teams per grade level that we can support this season. We will keep you posted on any developments as we continue to manage through these uncertain times. Our plans detailed above can change at any time. To that end, we greatly appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work to offer our community Titans basketball. We hope to see you in the gym soon!

Our Glen Ellyn Titans Feeder Program
Glen Ellyn Titans Basketball, established in 1999 as a feeder system for the Glenbard West High School basketball program, offers boys and girls the opportunity to participate in a respected and competitive program. Our goal is build a competitive junior basketball program that is recognized as having players, coaches and parents who demonstrate good sportsmanship and integrity at all times.
The level of play is competitive and a high level commitment by both the players and parents to the program is expected. Our season begins with tryouts in the Fall, training begins in October and the season ends at the beginning of March.
If your player loves the game of basketball and wants to compete at a high level and prepare for high school basketball, our program will offer that opportunity. Fact: 85% of our Titans continue on to compete at the freshman basketball level with about 95% of those trying out making the team.
Our program stresses and develops core basketball fundamentals to achieve positive results on the court at each level. We develop players to allow them to compete, play hard and win for themselves based on a better set of skills. Winning games is a result of implementing and reinforcing sound basketball skills.
