To ensure a fair evaluation, we are requiring players to attend two tryouts. We strongly encourage players to attend both PRIMARY tryout dates, but we have a MAKE-UP option if needed. The tryout dates/times are as follows:

Please bring a water bottle, basketball, and wear appropriate gym attire to the tryout. Arrive 15 minutes early to receive a bib number and be ready for the start of the tryout. Parent drop off and pick up is fully supported, but the actual tryout is closed to parents. Thank you for your understanding.
Players must reside in the Glenbard West High School district: Titans are a feeder program for Glenbard West.

UNIFORM FITTING NIGHT (ALL MUST ATTENDED) - Thursday Sept 21st 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm @ Glenbard West Field House

We are planning for a 3rd grade Girls program, subject to gym time availability. With this age group, our focus is on fundamentals and a positive introduction to the experience of feeder league basketball.
Teams: We will select an estimated 20 players to participate in Training and possible Game Play sessions from October through December. Titans 3rd Grade Girls training will end prior to the start of Glen Ellyn Park District house league.
Practice Sessions: Estimating 10-15 training sessions October-December.
Additional Skill Focused Training Sessions: Yes
Games: There is currently no DYTBL league for 3rd Grade Girls. With that said, we will try to offer this group some intra-squad and external game play opportunities, but once again, the focus is on skill development.
Player cost: $225 (includes practice jersey)
We utilize three facilities including Glenbard West, Ackerman and the Civic Center, spreading 24 teams over hundreds of available hours.
Our practice philosophy is to train both Green and White teams together with a strong focus on fundamentals, plus offensive and defensive philosophies. Unfortunately, due to the times we receive, it is difficult to build a perfectly consistent schedule. We will attempt to be as consistent as possible with practice day/times, while also offering a similar amount of court time over the course of the season to each team... not a simple task.
We request that Titans players prioritize Titans basketball during the Winter season. We understand players are involved in a variety of activities, but practice and game attendance is very important. There are no excused absences other than family, school, school basketball and injury/illness. Before accepting a position on a team, please be sure this commitment to Titans basketball can be met.
Game Schedules will be posted in early November once we have completed our league scheduling. Games or tournaments are played most every weekend between mid November to early March. Again, attendance is critical.
Final practice schedules will be distributed once teams are created. On average, teams can expect 2 practices per week from late October through early March.

Tryout results will be communicated directly to players/parents by EOD September 17th.
Players/parents will be provided a deadline date and registration details to accept or decline their position on the team.
