Glen Ellyn Titans Basketball, established in 1999 as a feeder system for the Glenbard West High School basketball program, offers boys and girls the opportunity to participate in a respected and competitive program. For those living in the GBW HS district, our goal is build a competitive junior basketball program that is recognized as having players, coaches and parents who demonstrate good sportsmanship and integrity at all times while preparing players to ultimate participate at Glenbard West HS. 90% of our players participate in high school. Here is a testimonial from Coach Jason Opoka:
"As the head basketball coach at Glenbard West High School, I can confidently say that the Glen Ellyn Titans feeder program is one of the most vital parts of building a strong, successful high school program. It’s where the foundation is laid — not just in terms of skills and fundamentals, but in teaching young athletes the values that matter most: teamwork, accountability, work ethic, and sportsmanship.
What sets our feeder program apart is the environment it creates. It's positive, structured, and focused on long-term development. Our younger athletes come in eager to learn, and by the time they reach the high school level, they're not only fundamentally sound but already familiar with our system and expectations. That continuity makes a tremendous difference to the success we have had over the last ten years."
The level of play is competitive and a high level commitment by both the players and parents to the program is expected. We stress core basketball fundamentals to achieve positive results on the court at each level. We develop players to allow them to compete, play hard and win for themselves based on a better set of skills. Winning games is a result of implementing and reinforcing sound basketball skills.
